Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the US. She is the current president and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is the daughter of a California native, and was raised by an affluent family. Jerry Buss, her father was a businessman in real estate who was the owner of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. In the event that her parents divorced in 1972, she was convinced that they'd left her. At the age 19 she was appointed the General Manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. In the future she founded the Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She was the President of Great Western Forum prior to being elected vice-president of the Lakers. Buss' father died in 2013 and the Lakers were acquired by Buss and her five siblings through a trust. Each sibling had equally many votes. She was named president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss owns a co-owned business Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotional business based out of Los Angeles.
